Why British people love their monarchy. ? Do you want them to reign forever?

I wouldn't say that the feeling is love but,I do like them.Some people may feel themselves subservient,that is probably because they are.I have never felt and never would be subservient to anyone.The monarchy is continuity,links to the past,working for the present and looking forward to the future.Other heads of state come and go with monotonous regularity,Italy,for example,changes it's presidents at an alarming rate.Some stay around,unwanted,with rigged elections,for years,Mugabe springs to mind,others become a blight on the world and stay even though despised,vilified and unwanted,Bush springs to mind.Our monarchy has it's faults,no system is perfect but,we do have stability.There is no other head of state in the world with as much experience and knowledge as our Queen,she is respected and admired the world over.Even the Chinese were falling over themselves trying to get a state visit from the Queen,some years ago and went overboard with their welcome.Do I want them to reign for ever?I don't know,should some better system come along,I think I would like to change but,until then,I am satisfied.
