The baby I watch keeps crying, what do I do?

Wow his parents told you to dip his pacifier in sugar. I wouldnt for my baby. how old is he? my Dr. did tell me one thing when my girl was a few weeks old she said a 2oz of warm water and a teaspoon of sugar would be okay once in a while to calm her stomache not more than once a day though. Have you tried just laying him down with a pacie-instead of trying to rock him to sleep? sometime my baby gets so tired that thats only way for her to fall asleep. Try taking him outside a little bit sometimes fresh air can help. Also maybe its his teeth. rub his gums firmly but gently. if that doesnt work get a clean wash cloth get it wet with cold water and/or put an ice cube in it and hold it for him. let him chew on that.
