How well does Ozone Therapy work?

I've just recently heard of this practice from a friend, whose dog is undergoing Ozone Therapy every week for a bad wound that the dog sustained. I was simply wondering whether or not this medicinal practice really works. There seem to be conflicting opinions on the practice, and I hadn't heard of it until just this afternoon.
